Artemis Fowl: The Seventh Dwarf
Although this the fourth published
Artemis book, the action is set in the time between Artemis
Fowl and Artemis Fowl:
The Arctic Incident.
It is a very short story and, for
those not acquainted with Artemis, may be a good introduction to the
series.
The main character apart from
Artemis himself, of course, is Mulch Diggums the outlandish dwarf. He
and Artemis team up to steal a famous diamond. Once again Holly Short
the fairy is desperate to foil these criminal plans.
(The leprechaun on this page is a
lot more attractive than the description of Mulch - he resembles
nothing more than an upright warthog!)
A complete story with the usual
Eoin Colfer qualities that we now expect - humour, fast-moving,
high-tech gadgetry and fairies!
